Still, her performance was rather impressive. Even mister super death explosion took her seriously! So we’re coming up with some more examples of similar battles. Across all of anime, who could actually beat Uraraka 1v1? And to keep this entertaining, I’ll try to make the fights somewhat close. We want to have a bit of fun after all!
10. Zenitsu Agatsuma
Anime: Demon Slayer If you’ve seen Demon Slayer, you already know that Zenitsu is losing this one unless he’s knocked out. Uraraka is the sweetest girl ever and Zenitsu would probably stab himself in the foot rather than actually fight her. However, if we introduce some headcanon into the mix and have Zenitsu be asleep, it’s quite a different story. This is mostly due to the fact that Uraraka couldn’t keep up with Thunderclap. Sure, she has decent reflexes and managed to react to Bakugo – but Samurai Pikachu is moving at a much higher speed. Even if she saw the slash coming, she wouldn’t be able to defend herself as making Zenitsu float wouldn’t get rid of the built-up momentum of the strike. She could potentially try to fly away, but we’ve seen Zenitsu leap ten feet in the air to finish a foe off. So I doubt that would save her either.
9. Sudou Kaname
Anime: Darwin’s Game Do you remember when Mustard pulled out a gun and you seriously had to question why every villain didn’t follow his example? Well, Kaname provides us an answer: 99% of heroes would be dead within the first week. And unfortunately, Uraraka is one of them. There’s no way in hell that she has the reflexes needed to dodge the bullets. And her martial arts wouldn’t be that useful either. Because you can’t really disarm a dude who can just create more weapons! In fact, you can’t even just wait it out and hope that he runs out of bullets. Even in the best-case scenario where Uraraka manages to make him float, Kaname has options. A newly created weapon shouldn’t be under the effect and should therefore let him float down to the ground. Or he can create a whip and latch onto a nearby tree. All the while shooting at Uraraka from the sky or even chucking a few grenades.
8. Osamu Dazai
Anime: Bungo Stray Dogs There’s a reason why Aizawa is one of the most powerful heroes in the entire series: people rarely know how to fight without their Quirk. And while Uraraka is one of the few exceptions to this rule, she’d still get bodied pretty hard. That’s because everything is stacked against her when fighting Dazai. He has a lot more experience, is physically stronger/faster, and doesn’t fear death itself. This means that Uraraka would never find him slipping up. Plus, his old partner had Uraraka’s Quirk on steroids – so Dazai will definitely know how to play around her fighting style. He might even let her activate her Quirk just so that he can mess around a bit before knocking her out. The fight would be rather hilarious all things considered, but I don’t see a world where Dazai doesn’t come out as the victor.
7. Hisoka Morow
Anime: Hunter x Hunter (2011) All Hunter x Hunter fans know that a substance that has the properties of both rubber and gum is virtually unstoppable. In Uraraka’s case, it also counters her Quirk rather perfectly. Hisoka can just glue his feet to the ground and make it so that Uraraka can’t make him float. Or if he does get hit, he can latch onto a nearby object (or even create a trampoline between some tree branches and bounce off it). That 2nd scenario would increase his overall maneuverability, so it’s actually the worse of two evils. And this isn’t even mentioning how he can make Uraraka herself get into a sticky situation. If she tries the “rock rain” strategy, Hisoka can use them to create a falling web of Bungee Gum or pull Uraraka closer so that she gets caught in her own attack. Hisoka is also simply way stronger and faster, but I wanted to stick to their powers as just getting knocked out by a single punch makes for a very lousy fight.
6. Chelsea
Anime: Akame ga Kill! Since Uraraka already faced Himiko, it made sense to have her fight a similar opponent. And although Chelsea is overall weaker than Himiko, I think she has a way higher chance of doing Uraraka in. The most notable difference between the two shapeshifters is their character. While Himiko talked about her fantasies and focused on getting Uraraka’s blood, Chelsea would’ve gone for her throat immediately. Plus Chelsea is a lot sneakier. Not only is she capable of sensing the people around her, but she’s also quick enough to get the jump on professional assassins. And on top of all that, her power is quicker and more versatile (as she can even transform into animals). So in terms of her fight with Uraraka, it’d go one of two ways:
Chelsea gets prep time and assassinates Uraraka before she realizes what’s going on Or they have a proper fight
Even in that 2nd case, I think Chelsea could come out on top by simply throwing down a smoke bomb and then quickly stabbing Uraraka from the back. Who knew that not being PG is a superpower?
5. Momo Nishimiya
Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the Bakugou fight, it’s that Uraraka can’t do much against ranged users. And with Momo, that point is even more relevant. I say that because Momo can insure that Uraraka never even gets close to her. With her wind blasts, she can repeatedly blow Uraraka away and keep her at a distance. Plus she can fly around at incredible speeds without ever needing to take a rest. Sure, Bakugou can also fly. But he’s a bit more predictable with his blasts, while there’s nothing to cue you in on where Momo is going to go next. All of this culminates in a fight where Momo can keep a huge distance and beat Uraraka from afar. She never has to stay in one place, so a “rock rain” strategy is bound to fail and since Uraraka has no long-range attacks, that’d be the end of it. At the very least, the fight would be interesting to watch as both combatants are absolutely adorable.
4. Rudeus Greyrat
Anime: Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation In general, Uraraka heavily relies on the element of surprise. If her enemy doesn’t know what she can do, she can get in close and make them float away before they realize their mistake. But the second you take the surprise factor away, she’s rather easy to deal with. This is why Rudeus with his demon eye would wipe the floor with Uraraka within ten seconds. That is, unless he falls in love with her. Just like Uraraka, he doesn’t only rely on his powers, and has learned the ways of physical combat. But unlike Uraraka, he’s an absolute beast and can spar with some of the best warriors of his universe. And all of this is not even mentioning his vast array of spells that could be used to slow Uraraka down or even take her out from a safe distance. I think Uraraka would have to go Plus Ultra to even stand in the ring for more than ten seconds.
3. Rem
Anime: Re: Zero This is another one of those battles where I immediately want to recognize how absolutely adorable it’d be. At least until they move out of the PG realm and blood starts being spilled. It’s also a fight where it seems like Uraraka has some counterplay options. Most notably, if she manages to touch Rem’s flail, she can disarm her completely. And if she really gets lucky, she can stop Rem’s demon mode by striking her horn. However she’d need some Lottery winner luck in order to pull those feats off. Rem is incredibly quick and (just like a lot of the characters on this list) can just keep Uraraka at a distance with her flail. It’s also worth mentioning that Rem can absolutely punch through your skull if you get too close. So even the best-case scenario has some serious risks. And since she’s way more liberal about killing than Uraraka, one mistake is all it’d take. Overall, if we highball Uraraka’s speed and give her knowledge of Rem, she has a very slim chance of winning. If not, she loses immediately.
2. Morgiana
Anime: Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic If we made Uraraka the luckiest person alive – this is how the battle would go. First off, Morgiana uses her incredible strength to close the gap and start attacking Uraraka. Her kicks leave rubble everywhere and Uraraka manages to lift them all up and create a trap (while somehow miraculously dodging a million kicks). She then waits for the perfect moment and releases her Quirk – only to find out that Morgiana can do a backflip, break the boulder that was going to fall on her, and continue the fight like nothing had happened. Uraraka then gets a second miracle and manages to make Morgiana weightless, hoping to drop her from a big enough height to end her. Morgiana then starts using her chains and flies directly towards Uraraka, ending the fight instantly. Even in the best scenario, I don’t quite see Uraraka coming out of this one alive.
1. Izaya Orihara
Anime: Durarara!! Izaya doesn’t have any powers. And yet, I feel like this fight would be the most interesting one of them all. If we keep the combatants in character, Izaya would just set up a trap and kill Uraraka quietly. But since that’s no fun, let’s make it a random encounter. The thing about Izaya is that he’s incredibly quick. Armed with just a switchblade, he still posed a threat to combatants of Deku’s caliber. He’s always on his toes, making quick swipes and slowly making you bleed out. Plus his long-lived rivalry against Shizuo would work to his benefit in this fight. After all, he did spend years dodging falling vending machines and fighting in a way where the opponent grabbing you means certain death. All of these facts coupled with his killer mentality and surprising durability (as he was literally hit with a metal beam mid-air and survived) would be too much for Uraraka to handle. The fight wouldn’t be over immediately, but Uraraka would eventually lose steam or simply bleed out. But I am certain that just like Bakugou, Izaya would definitely respect Uraraka as a warrior.
